Claude Code: Builder Mode is a guided exploration of how to make Claude Code a dependable coding agent in your own studio. We look beyond what it can generate to the context it works with, the actions it is allowed to take, and how you supervise the result. The series connects individual capabilities into a way of working you can understand and adapt, while keeping product direction and consequential decisions in your hands.
Follow the published sessions in order to build that understanding, or return to a specific topic when your own project raises the question.
Why the order matters
Each session builds on the ones before it. The series starts with how to think about Claude Code at all, then moves through the instruction file, the command line, permissions and settings, the context window, checkpoints, and skills, before bringing them together in how a real session flows.
Taken in order, those pieces stop being a list of features. You understand why a permission rule, a piece of context, or a skill changes what the agent does, and you can decide how much to trust it in your own project.
Who it is for
Builder Mode suits anyone who uses Claude Code, or wants to, as a coding agent they can rely on in real product work. You do not need to be an expert; you do need a project you care about, because the practice only becomes clear when it meets real work.
How it differs from other categories
- AI Workflow Design teaches a way of working that carries across tools. Builder Mode goes deep on one tool.
- Codex: Workbench Mode follows real tasks in an evolving workbench, with no fixed order. Builder Mode is an ordered series.
- AI Skills offers individual capabilities to add to an agent. Builder Mode explains how skills fit into the wider practice.
The Build with AI guide explains all four categories in this path.
How to begin
- Open Claude Code: Builder Mode in the library.
- Sessions are listed newest first, so start with Session 01 at the end of the list.
- Try each session in your own project before moving on, and bring questions to the resource discussion below it.
The library shows every session published so far. Companion files are included only when a session says so.
What is included
Builder Mode is included with the resource library from Builder Pass onward. It does not include private mentorship or third-party tools and usage.
