If you build apps on your own, most of the hard questions are judgment calls: what to hand an agent, how to keep context, what to ship next. Builder gives you a place to learn those calls from real product work and to talk them through with other builders while you apply them to your own projects.
Start building alongside the workshop
Builder Pass gives you the full Lab resource library and access to the Slack workshop. Learn from the work I explain and share, apply it to your own products and agent workflows, and develop your approach alongside other solo builders.

What you get
- Resources — videos, guides, field notes, skills, blueprints, and available files that teach how tools and systems work together, including why I make or change a decision. One new video arrives every weekday.
- Slack community and Workshop Hour — discuss the resources, share what you are building, and bring questions to Sunday’s working conversation.
- Crew Log and the Calendar — connected conversations and upcoming releases, from your dashboard.
- Crafter's Lab newsletter — a concise monthly recap of what happened in the Lab and its tools: what members can now use, what proved useful, what was hype or noise, what disappeared, and what may matter next. Each edition connects the recap to the five learning paths and the work of building and operating your studio.
The same edition is included with Builder, Crafter, Founder, and Mentorship. Payment never subscribes you automatically; opt in from Profile to receive the first edition, and change your preference at any time.
Builder or a guest invitation
Invited Slack guests can join Workshop Hour in #the-bench and selected public rooms for special community moments. Builder adds the paid side of the workshop: the full resource library and its weekday videos, resource discussions, Crew Log, Calendar releases, the member newsletter, and the member rooms in Slack.
Make it useful for your work
Suppose an agent keeps losing the context behind your app’s next feature. Find a resource on project context or agent instructions, try one change in your own workflow, and bring the result to #the-bench or the resource discussion. You can learn from the explanation and the crew without needing the shared Notion Teamspaces.
- Join Slack and introduce yourself in #welcome. Share what you are building and what you want to learn.
- Find a topic that fits a current problem. The path guides explain every category and where to start.
- Bring a question or result into the connected resource discussion, #the-bench, or Sunday’s Workshop Hour. Compare what worked with other members.
- Return to the workshop as your project changes. You do not have to follow a fixed course or be online every day.
Not included
Builder does not include access to the Lab’s Notion workspace, the three shared teamspaces, or their focused Slack rooms, Crew AMA questions, or requests; those begin with Crafter. It does not include the private Mentee’s Cockpit or ongoing private guidance, which belong to Crafter Mentorship. Third-party tools, subscriptions, and API usage you need to try an idea are your own.
Where the other memberships fit
Builder includes the full resource library. Crafter and Founder add The Foundry, Swift Brain, Ops Lab, their focused Slack rooms, Crew AMA, and the request flow. Mentorship adds private collaboration with me.
The membership guide compares the passes side by side, and the membership page shows current options. Access follows your active pass.
